For this single the goal was to stretch our limits in the heavier direction and give our more deathcore apt fans something to sink their teeth into. Partially inspired by recent events, Righteous Depravity covers an appropriately matched heavy topic - the horrendous mental and physical abuse that children have been subjected to at the hands of religious institutions for centuries. This really gave our new vocalist the opportunity to showcase his abilities, and channel the anger we all feel towards the church's continued display of morally abhorrent actions against the innocent.
And a very special shoutout to the artist, Valery Petelin, who we acquired the cover from. Valery is a Ukrainian currently living in Russia, who created this piece he titled "Eternity" a few years back. While searching for artwork options, we stumbled upon this piece and were instantly drawn to it as we felt it was a perfect metaphorical depiction for the song. Despite not being able to legally accept any form of payment, Valery was gracious enough to allow us to use the artwork for our single, and for that we are incredibly grateful to say the least!
